A fascinating and an unusual museum
This award winning exhibition presents the history of the witch-huntings in 17th century Iceland as well as various aspects of magic from younger sources. The exhibition deals with the people involved, who they were and what were they accused of and what were the punishments. On display are the examples of grimoires, some from the period of burnings and others copied as late as the early twentieth century, and some of the geats sorcerers were supposed to accomplish according to folklore.
